“Providence”, as defined in Webster’s 1913 dictionary, tells a lot about who we are:
Providence – (prov’ i dence) n. [L providential; cf. F. providence. Related to provident and prudence]
- Timely preparation; the act of providing or preparing for future use or application; a making ready; preparation.
- Foresight; care;
especially the foresight and care which God manifests for His
creatures; hence, God Himself, regarded as exercising a constant wise
presence.
- A manifestation of the care and superintendence which God exercises over His creatures; an event ordained by divine direction.
- Prudence in the management of one’s concerns; economy; frugality.
We use the term “Farms” because we have a desire to provide fresh and
wholesome foods. We use as much local food (meats, produce,
herbs, etc.) from local farms as possible. We have our own
farm-like atmosphere, in spite of being in the middle of the city.
